Your Rights as a Data Subject

(1) You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

•     Right to Information (Art. 15 GDPR):

You have the right to request information about the processing of your personal data by us. In particular, you can inquire about the processing purposes, the categories of personal data, the categories of recipients to whom your data has been or will be disclosed, the planned storage duration, the existence of the right to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, or objection, the right to lodge a complaint, the origin of your data if not collected by us, and the existence of automated decision-making, including profiling, and meaningful information about the details thereof.

•     Right to Rectification (Art. 16 GDPR):

You have the right to prompt correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data stored by us.

•     Right to Erasure (Art. 17 GDPR):

•     Right to Restriction of Processing (Art. 18 GDPR):

You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data if the accuracy of the data is contested by you, the processing is unlawful, but you oppose its erasure, and we no longer need the data, while you still need it for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims, or you have objected to processing pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR.

•     Right to Withdraw Consent (Art. 7(3) GDPR):

You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. The withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

(2) Please direct inquiries regarding your rights as a data subject to the contact details mentioned in § 1 below.

(3) According to Art. 77 GDPR, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority regarding the processing of your personal data by us. Collection of Personal Data when Visiting our Website

During the mere informational use of the website, meaning if you do not register or otherwise provide information to us, we only collect the personal data that your browser transmits to our server. When you view our website, we collect the following data, which is technically necessary for us to display our website to you and to ensure its stability and security (legal basis is Art. 6(1) sentence 1 letter f GDPR):

- IP address

- Date and time of the request

- Time zone difference to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)

- Content of the request (specific page)

- Access status/HTTP status code

- Amount of data transmitted in each case

- Website from which the request comes

- Browser

- Operating system and its interface

- Language and version of the browser software

These data are processed by us for the following purposes:

•    Ensuring a smooth connection setup of the website

•    Ensuring convenient use of our website

•    Evaluation of system security and stability, as well as for other administrative purposes.

The mentioned information is collected without your intervention and stored until automated deletion.

Use of Cookies

(1) In addition to the data mentioned above, cookies are stored on your computer when you use our website. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your hard drive and assigned to the browser you are using, providing certain information to the entity setting the cookie (in this case, us). Cookies cannot execute programs or transmit viruses to your computer. They serve to make the overall internet offering more user-friendly and effective.

(2) Types of Cookies

This website uses the following types of cookies, the scope and functionality of which are explained below:

- Transient cookies (see a)

- Persistent cookies (see b)

a) Transient cookies are automatically deleted when you close the browser. This includes, in particular, session cookies. These store a session ID, with which various requests from your browser can be assigned to the common session. This allows your computer to be recognized when you return to our website, for example, to prevent you from having to log in again with each page change. Session cookies are deleted when you log out or close the browser.

b) Persistent cookies are automatically deleted after a specified duration, which can vary depending on the cookie. The duration the cookie remains on your device depends on the duration or expiration date of the respective cookie and your browser settings. You can delete the cookies in the security settings of your browser at any time. These cookies allow the website to remember your information and settings for your next visit, providing you with quicker and more convenient access to the website, as you do not have to reconfigure settings such as language.

(3) We use cookies either based on our legitimate interests (technically necessary cookies) or based on your consent (optional cookies), in accordance with your selection made through the cookie banner displayed when visiting the website. You can also configure your browser settings according to your preferences, such as rejecting the acceptance of third-party cookies or all cookies. However, this may result in a limitation of the functionality of our offerings.

Recipients or Categories of Recipients of Data

(1) In the course of our activities and services, it may be necessary for us to disclose the personal data stored about you to natural or legal persons or other entities. We enter into data processing agreements with our service providers, where applicable, ensuring that they may only process your personal data in a manner explicitly instructed by us. Furthermore, we ensure that they have taken the necessary technical and organizational measures to securely process your data and only store your personal data for as long as necessary. External service providers that may receive personal data generally fall into the following categories of recipients:

- Banks and payment service providers for billing and payment processing (online payment providers), parcel carriers

- IT service providers and cloud providers for maintaining our IT infrastructure, file management, or service providers for optimizing the online offering

- Promotional event organizers, e.g., special promotions or contests with selected partners

- Collection service providers and lawyers to collect claims and enforce claims in court. In the case of debt collection, if personal data (customer and contact data, payment data, consumer location data, and data related to the claim) is transmitted to a collection service provider, we inform you in advance about the intended transmission.

(2) If data is processed in countries outside the EU, we ensure that your personal data is processed in accordance with the European level of data protection. If there is no EU Commission decision, we only transfer data to service providers from third countries that provide suitable guarantees in accordance with Art. 46 GDPR (usually EU standard contractual clauses). In cases where this cannot be ensured even through this contractual extension, we seek additional arrangements and assurances from the recipient in the respective country.

Newsletter

(1) We send newsletters, emails, and other electronic notifications with promotional information. Our newsletters contain information about our products, offers, promotions, and company. The following information informs you about the content of our newsletter, as well as the registration, dispatch, and statistical evaluation procedures, as well as your rights to object.

(2) For the registration for our newsletter, we use a logged double opt-in procedure. This means that after registration, you will receive an email asking you to confirm your registration. This confirmation is necessary to prevent anyone from registering with someone else's email addresses. Newsletter registrations are logged to be able to prove the registration process in accordance with legal requirements. This includes the storage of the registration and confirmation times, as well as the IP address. The purpose of the procedure is to prove your registration and, if necessary, to clarify any potential misuse of your personal data.

(3) To subscribe to the newsletter, it is sufficient to provide your email address and a name. Providing additional data is voluntary and is used to address you personally. After your confirmation, we store your email address for the purpose of sending the newsletter. The dispatch of the newsletter and the success measurement are based on your consent according to Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a, Art. 7 GDPR. Your entered data is used to personalize the newsletter and is not passed on to third parties.

(4) You can revoke your consent to receive the newsletter and unsubscribe at any time. You can revoke by clicking on the link provided in each newsletter email, by email, or by sending a message to the contact details provided in the imprint.

Contact

(1) When contacting us (e.g., by email or after using the contact form), the information provided by you will be processed for the purpose of handling the inquiry and, if follow-up questions arise, in case of future relevance (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The contact form is an additional service provided by us and serves our legitimate interests in enabling a quick and uncomplicated contact with us.

(2) The personal data collected in this context will be deleted when the inquiry is fully resolved, and there is no expectation that the specific contact will become relevant in the future, unless legal retention obligations prevent deletion.

Job Applications

(1) If you apply to us through our website, we process the data provided by you during the application process. The legal basis for this is Art. 88 GDPR in conjunction with § 26 BDSG and Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for the initiation or performance of contractual relationships. If an employment relationship is established between you and us, we process the personal data already received from you for the purpose of employment, in accordance with Art. 88 GDPR in conjunction with § 26 BDSG.

(2) Data is deleted, as a general rule, after six months, provided there are no legal retention obligations or overriding legitimate interests. If you have given explicit consent for extended storage in your application, the processing duration extends to that period. Any given consent can be revoked at any time, effective for the future.

Presences on Social Media Platforms

(1) We have online presences on the social networks and platforms listed below as operators. These social networks and platforms are operated exclusively by the respective provider. These presences serve to communicate with customers, prospects, and users and serve the purpose of advertising and market research. When you contact us via our social media channels, we process the data you provide to us, as well as the data necessary to process the request (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b GDPR). The processing of additional data is based on Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR from the legitimate interest in direct communication with users and the optimization of the design of our online presence. If you have given your consent to the operators of the respective social media platforms (e.g., through a checkbox opt-in), the processing is based on Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR. You can revoke your consent to the respective platform provider for the future at any time.

(2) When you visit our social media pages, your user data is collected and provided to us by the provider. The exact types of data differ from provider to provider but generally include the following information:

- Followers: Number and registered profiles; information about increases and development over a defined period.

- Reach: Number of people viewing a specific post; number of interactions on a post. This can be used to deduce which content is more popular in the community.

- Ad performance: How many people were reached and interacted with a post or a paid ad?

- Demographics: Average age of visitors, gender, location, language.

(3) Since our social media channels are operated by the providers of the respective social network, there may be additional use of your personal data by them, over which we have no control. This often involves the collection of your IP address, the creation of statistical evaluations, and the processing of other information stored in the form of cookies. Frequently, this data is also used to display interest-based advertising within and outside the platforms. We, as operators, have no influence on the generation and presentation and cannot disable this function or prevent the processing of data.

(4) The assertion of data subject rights and requests for information can be most effectively addressed directly to the platform providers, as only they have access to your data and can take immediate action. If our cooperation is required for this, we will assist you in enforcing your data subject rights if necessary.

(5) Below are the providers of the networks used. If data processing takes place outside the EU, we have taken the necessary measures to ensure the level of data protection (usually by concluding EU standard data protection clauses). For more information on terms of use and data protection of the respective platform, as well as a detailed presentation of further data processing and respective objection options, please refer to the providers' websites listed under 9. in this privacy statement:

Used Social-Media Plugins

(1) Plugins are integrated into our web services: These plugins are identified within our online presence through the respective button associated with the service. With the help of these plugins, users can share or post links to the corresponding websites on social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram, or recommend the content there. By actively interacting with these plugins, such as clicking the respective button or leaving a comment, the corresponding information is transmitted directly to the respective service and stored there.

(2) When visiting one of our web services that contains such an activated plugin, your browser establishes a connection with the servers of the respective service, thereby transmitting the content of the plugin to your browser and integrating it into the displayed page. Thus, information about the visit to our web services is forwarded to the respective service. We do not collect personal data using the social plugins or through their use, and we have no control over what data an activated plugin collects and how it is used by the provider. It should be assumed that at least the IP address and device-related information are collected and used. There is also the possibility that the service providers may attempt to store cookies on the used computer. If you are simultaneously logged into your personal user account with the respective service during the visit to our web services (e.g., through another browser session), the service provider may associate the visit with your account.

(3) To prevent data from being transmitted to the mentioned service providers without the user's knowledge, we have implemented the so-called Shariff solution on our website. This means that the respective social plugins on the website are initially only integrated as graphics. These graphics contain a link to the website of the respective plugin provider. Only when you click on one of the graphics will you be redirected to the service of the respective provider. This solution ensures that personal data is not automatically transmitted to the providers of the respective social plugins when you visit our website. If you click on one of the graphics of the social plugins, data can be transmitted to the respective service provider and stored there. If you do not click on any of the graphics, no data transmission occurs between you and the respective provider of the social plugin.

(4) Please note that you do not need a user account with the respective service for this purpose, nor do you need to be already logged in there. However, if you already have a user account with the respective service provider and are already logged into this account during the visit to our website, the data collected by the social plugin will be directly associated with your account and may be disclosed to other users. If you do not want the association with your profile/account with the service provider, you must log out of your user account before clicking on any of the social plugins. Also, note that we have no influence on whether and to what extent the respective service providers collect personal data. The extent, purpose, and storage periods of the respective data collection are unknown to us. However, we would like to point out that it must be assumed that at least the IP address and device-related information are used and collected via social plugins. It is also possible that the respective service providers use cookies.

(5) For the extent and purpose of data collection by the respective service, as well as further processing and use of your data, please refer to the privacy notices directly from the website of the respective service, which we have listed under point 9 of this privacy policy.

Embedding YouTube Videos

(1) For marketing purposes, we have embedded YouTube videos in our online offering, which are stored on www.youtube.com and can be played directly from our website. These videos are embedded in "extended privacy mode," meaning that YouTube does not set cookies for analyzing user behavior, such as personalizing video playback. Instead, video recommendations are based on the current video. Videos played in extended privacy mode do not affect which videos are recommended to a user on YouTube. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in improving the quality of our online presence.

(2) By visiting the website, YouTube receives information that you have accessed the corresponding subpage of our website. In this process, certain user data is transmitted to YouTube. The transmission of data to YouTube takes place regardless of whether YouTube provides a user account through which you are logged in or whether no user account exists. If you are logged in at Google, your data will be directly associated with your account. If you do not want this assignment with your profile on YouTube, you must log out before activating the button. For the purpose of functionality and for analyzing user behavior, YouTube permanently stores cookies on your internet browser on your end device. If you do not agree to this processing, you have the option to prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting your internet browser settings. YouTube will continue to store your data as usage profiles and use it for advertising, market research, and/or customizing its website. Such evaluation is carried out particularly (even for users not logged in) to provide personalized advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have the right to object to the creation of user profiles; however, you must contact YouTube to exercise this right. YouTube may process your personal data on servers in the United States, among other locations.

(3) Further information on the purpose, scope of data collection, your rights, privacy protection options, and processing by YouTube can be found at:

Google Analytics

(1) To the extent that you have given your consent, Google Analytics 4, a web analysis service of Google LLC, is used on this website. The responsible entity for users in the EU/EEA and Switzerland is Google Ireland Limited, Google Building Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland ("Google").

(2) Google Analytics uses cookies that allow an analysis of your use of our websites. The information collected by the cookies about your use of this website is generally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

(3) We use the User-ID function. With the User ID, we can assign a unique, permanent ID to one or more sessions (and the activities within these sessions) and analyze user behavior across devices.

(4) In Google Analytics 4, IP address anonymization is enabled by default. Due to IP anonymization, your IP address is truncated by Google within member states of the European Union or other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. According to Google, the IP address transmitted by your browser in the context of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data. During your website visit, your user behavior is recorded in the form of "events." Events may include:

•     Page views

•     Initial visit to the website

•     Start of the session

•     Your "click path," interaction with the website

•     Scrolls (whenever a user scrolls to the end (90%) of a page)

•     Clicks on external links

•     Internal search queries

•     Interaction with videos

•     File downloads

•     Viewed/clicked ads

•     Language settings

Additionally, the following is recorded:

•     Your approximate location (region)

•     Date and time of the visit

•     Your IP address (in truncated form)

•    Technical information about your browser and the devices you use (e.g., language settings, screen resolution)

•     Your internet service provider

•     The referrer URL (through which website/which advertising medium you came to this website)

(5) On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website and to compile reports on website activities. The reports provided by Google Analytics are used to analyze the performance of our website and the success of our marketing campaigns.

(6) Recipients of the data may include:

•     Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (as a data processor according to Art. 28 GDPR)

•     Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA

•     Alphabet Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA

It cannot be ruled out that US authorities may access the data stored by Google. For the USA, the European Commission adopted its adequacy decision on July 10, 2023. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Privacy Framework. Since Google's servers are distributed worldwide and transmission to third countries (e.g., Singapore) cannot be completely ruled out, we have also concluded the EU standard contractual clauses with the provider.

(7) The data sent by us and linked with cookies is automatically deleted after 2 months. The maximum lifespan of Google Analytics cookies is 2 years. The deletion of data whose retention period has expired occurs automatically once a month.

(8) The legal basis for this data processing is your consent according to Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit.a GDPR and § 25 Para. 1 S. 1 TTDSG.

(9) You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future by calling up the cookie settings and changing your selection there. The legality of processing carried out based on consent until revocation remains unaffected. You can also prevent the storage of cookies in advance by adjusting your browser software accordingly. However, if you configure your browser to reject all cookies, there may be limitations in functionality on this and other websites. You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) to Google and the processing of this data by Google by:

a. Not giving your consent to the setting of the cookie, or

b. Downloading and installing the browser add-on to disable Google Analytics HERE.

(10) For more information on the terms of use of Google Analytics and privacy at Google, please visit https://marketingplatform.google.com/about/analytics/terms/de/ and under https://policies.google.com/?hl=de.

Google Ads (Google AdWords)

(1) We also use Google Conversion Tracking on our website. The provider is Google Ireland Limited ("Google"), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Conversion Tracking enables Google and us to determine whether the user has taken certain actions. For example, we can evaluate how often buttons on our website are clicked, and which products are viewed or purchased frequently. This information is used to create conversion statistics. We receive the total number of users who clicked on our ads and the actions they performed. We do not receive information that allows us to personally identify the user. Google itself uses cookies or similar recognition technologies for identification.

(2) We would like to inform you that the data collected by Google may be transferred to a server in the USA and stored there. It is possible that this data may be disclosed to Google's contractual partners, third parties, and authorities. If you are logged into your Google account, your data can be directly associated with it. If you do not wish this association with your Google profile, you must log out. For more information on the purpose and scope of data collection and processing, as well as further information on your rights and privacy protection options, please refer to Google's advertising privacy policy.

(3) The legal basis for the use of Google Ads Conversion Tracking is Article 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR, as there is a legitimate interest in conducting targeted advertising measures.

(4) You can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting your browser software accordingly, for example, by setting your browser to block cookies from the web address "googleadservices.com." Alternatively, you can subsequently change the consent you previously gave. However, we would like to point out that in this case, you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent.

(4) For more information on terms of use and privacy at Google, please visit https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de.

Google Tag Manager

(1) We use the Google Tag Manager on our website. This service allows website tags to be managed through an interface. The Google Tag Manager itself does not set cookies but only tags, and it does not collect personal data. The service triggers other tags that may, in turn, collect data. However, the Google Tag Manager does not access this data. For the European region, the company responsible for all Google services is Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland).

(2) The use of Google Tag Manager requires your consent, which we obtained through our cookie popup. According to Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR, this consent serves as the legal basis for processing personal data that may occur during collection by web analytics tools. In addition to consent, we have a legitimate interest in analyzing the behavior of website visitors to technically and economically improve our offering. With the help of the Google Tag Manager, we can enhance our efficiency. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR. However, we only use the Google Tag Manager if you have granted consent.
